Ah, Brisbane! Although we don’t have snow like Europe, and parades like New York, Brisbane has its own unique way of celebrating the Holiday Season! If you find yourself in BrisVegas for Christmas, we teamed with with Walking Tours Brisbane to bring you the ULTIMATE list of things to do around Brisbane:
8th December
Experience the joy of Christmas at the annual Lord Mayor's Christmas Carols at Riverstage, City Botanic Gardens on Saturday 8 December 2018.
The free Carols event hosts a variety of Australia's most renowned singers and entertainers as they ignite the big stage in this joyous and magical celebration of Christmas.
7th - 19th December
Come and explore the magic of the Enchanted Garden at Roma Street Parkland this Christmas where a wonderland of glittering lights will mesmerise and delight all members of the family over eight nights.
14th - 23rd December
We all love a good Christmas Parade, and the one that goes through the city (and presented by David Jones) is no different! Running from Queen Street Mall and going through to King George Square via Albert Street, the Christmas parade is brimming with music and merriment, and comes complete with a nativity scene, Santa and dozens of performers to entertain and delight all ages.
14th-23rd December
The Christmas Cinema on the River Quay Green springs to life at 8.15pm nightly, offering a smorgasbord of free, family-favourites that will add a twinkle to your eye and make you feel warm and fuzzy inside. Unfurl on River Quay’s inviting lawn, surround yourself with tasty snacks, sip on a cool drink and welcome in Christmas the relaxing way. River Quay is licensed, so those aged over 18 years of age are welcome to bring their favourite drop along with their meal. Check out the full schedule here.

Stuck for present ideas? Still haven’t done your Christmas shopping? Head over to Stanley Street Plaza and Little Stanley Street at South Bank to get something unique for your loved ones, whilst supporting local designers, suppliers, and creators!

River Quay will come alive with Christmas carol concerts guaranteed to have the whole family singing along and tapping their feet, complete with summer night breezes and city views. Make sure you bring a picnic along with you - River Quay is licensed from 10am-8pm daily.
20th - 23rd December
Watch Southbank’s sky come to life with their annual Christmas Fireworks display. This year, the sky will ignite in a flurry of colour over four nights this December. Bring the whole family along to the Clem Jones Promenade to enjoy a dazzling array of pyrotechnics that will take you on a magical Christmas journey.
