Yiota - Ola Digital

Meet Yiota Athousis! A typical day in her life includes copious amounts of iced coffee while: designing websites, podcast planning and interviewing, executing client strategies, organising my space in a borderline OCD fashion, exploring new approaches to digital and most importantly, laughing at memes. After completing her studies at the University of Queensland, she jumped straight into full-time work learning all the ins and outs of digital, marketing and media.
Through working with many varied clients, finding her love of web design and her passion for digital marketing – her business at Ola Digital was born. Every day at Ola Digital is different, and she’s always facing challenges that need super solutions, but she absolutely loves it.

What advice would you give to your 15 year old self? 
It honestly does not and will not matter what others think of you. Not now, not ever. You are a bright star and you can't let anyone dim that shine! Your future is oh so bright.

What makes you proud to be a woman? 
The support and community us women can cultivate out of literally nowhere (the smallest of similarities, boom friend!). It makes me oh so proud.

Whats been your biggest challenge in your career so far? 
Letting go of control! And I'm still working on it... I have a very bad habit of taking on too many things at once and then also refusing help. Not the way to sustainably run a business, but I'm working on it.

What did you want to be when you grew up? 
An interior designer! I was absolutely convinced. To be honest, I would still totally make the career change. Maybe one day when I'm retired from web, who knows!

Who inspires you most and why? 
My husband! He is the most hardworking and dedicated human I have ever met. He inspires me every day and challenges me to see life through a different lens. I'm one lucky wifey.
